Two agencies owe a plan. One academy owes a study. Per Senator Duckworth's release, the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Product Safety Commission must give Congress what the release calls a "coordinated, actionable plan" on AI-enabled toy products. The National Academies must run a comprehensive study. The due date is not on the record. The text of S. 5171 returned a 403 on August 15th, so no deadline for the plan or for the study could be read.
