The story
On August 31st an FCC notice asked whether AI tools should review applications, audits and appeals. Nine sentences in it name AI, all questions.
In funding year 2025, 34 of Alaska's 340 approved Telecom Program requests relied on the methods the FCC prefers. That leaves 306 that didn't. It was 32 of 317 the year before.
Those figures are in a second notice, published the same day. It never says AI. The AI notice never says Alaska.
